Volunteers needed for upcoming “Passport to Culture” event
SUPERIOR, Wis.– Superior Middle School is excited to bring back their passport to culture event, but they are also looking for volunteers to make it possible.
The free event is aimed at teaching students, and even community members about a variety of cultures.
This is done through food demonstrations, clothing, and even music.
It’s been a hit in the past, and the organizer said, it leaves quite an impact on the students.
“In this area, we are a predominantly white area, so for students to get to one, see themselves represented, and get to see other people that are teaching about their culture and things that are familiar to them,” said Amanda Lindquist, Instructional Coach, Superior Middle School.
The passport to culture will be taking place on Wednesday April 3rd.
If you’re interested in representing a culture, reach out to Amanda Lindquist through her email.
