Hibbing/Chisholm Knocks Off C-E-C in OT for 2nd Straight Year to Claim Section 7A Title

Isaiah Hildenbrand scored the game-winning goal with 5.9 seconds left in the extra period to give Hibbing/Chisholm the 3-2 win.

DULUTH, Minn.- For the 2nd straight year, the Cloquet-Esko-Carlton and Hibbing/Chisholm boys hockey teams met in the Section 7A title game.

And for the 2nd straight season, the Bluejackets went on to defeat the Lumberjacks in overtime to head back to state.

This is the 3rd time in program history that Hibbing/Chisholm has advanced to the state tourney.

The team will find out who their first round opponent is at state over the weekend.
