Team Duluth hosts final NJRS regular season race series
DULUTH, Minn. — Young alpine skiers competed in the Northland Junior Race Series final race of the regular season.
The race, hosted by Team Duluth at Spirit Mountain, brought around 200 alpine skiers, ages five to 18, from six area clubs for the sixth stop in the N-J-R-S. Designed as a fun and affordable introduction to ski racing, the series gives kids and their families a chance to learn, compete, and enjoy the slopes together. Athletes raced on courses tailored to their age and skill level, with awards given out at the end.
“Sun shining, there’s no wind, so the snow conditions are unbelievable, and it’s just fun, and it’s just good to get families out and ski,” said Corey Danelski, program director and coach of Team Duluth.
The Northland Junior Race Series will be holding its season Championship at Lutsen on Sunday, March 8, 2026.
