The City of Duluth hosts first Lester Park Land Use Study feedback session

DULUTH, Minn. — The City of Duluth held its first open house regarding the Lester Park Golf Course Land Use Study.

The event gave Duluthians a chance to learn about the work completed so far and shared ideas about what they’d like to see at the site in the future. Attendees were able to review research on existing conditions, including water flow, soil types, slopes, and existing trails. Community members shared feedback through written comments and interactive voting boards. City officials say community input will play a key role in shaping future development plans as the study moves forward.

“The results of this study will lead us to be able to change the city’s comprehensive plan, and when you amend a comprehensive plan, it’s really important to reach as many people from the community that want to weigh in as possible,” said Jenn Moses, the manager of planning for the City of Duluth.

For those who were unable to attend the open house, there is a survey where people can share their input.
