Shelter in place order issued for parts of Ashland, school bus routes affected

ASHLAND, Wis. — The Ashland County Sheriff’s Office issued a shelter-in-place order Wednesday afternoon following an active police situation.

At 4:15 p.m., the order was terminated.

According to officials, everyone in the 400 block of 12th Ave E and 13th Ave East was part of the order.

Police said there was a barricaded person in that area.

The School District of Ashland additionally changed bus routes to those in the closed area.

There were no immediately reports of injuries.
