Gascon Claims 2nd Straight WCHA Goalie of the Year Award, O’Brien Named Student Athlete of Year
Gascon is the first UMD goalie to go back-to-back winning the award.
DULUTH, Minn.- A duo on the UMD women’s hockey team collected some conference hardware on Wednesday.
For the 2nd straight year, UMD goaltender Eve Gascon has been named the WCHA Goaltender of the Year.
The canadien posted a league-high .943 saves percentage in league games and led the conference with 10 shutouts.
She’s the first UMD goalie to go back-to-back winning the award.
Her teammate, Mary Kate O’Brien also picked up a plaque after being named the Student Athlete of the Year.
O’Brien is the 10th Bulldog ever to claim that honor.
