Warm Up the City with Winter Gear

Yarn Harbor is donating supplies from donators in the community to those in need.

DULUTH, Minn.- Veterans of the Duluth Winter know just how important the right gear can be to keep you warm through the coming months. That’s why Yarn Harbor has been collecting donations to ‘Warm Up the City.’

The small Duluth business spent the month getting hand-made and store bought mittens, hats, scarves, socks and any colg weather hgear they could collect from the community.

The company plans on leaving the donations around the city, each item with a tag on it saying, “I’m not lost, I need a good home.”

“It’s been as strong as always response from the community bringing in their bags of donations, stopping in and asking about it and coming back with stuff store bought if they don’t craft,” Yarn Harbor owner Kathy Thomas said.

Yarn Harbor is still collecting donations through Thursday and are looking for volunteers to help give out clothing Saturday, Nov. 3.
