Crowds Enjoy Last Holiday Weekend of Summer

It’s the last holiday weekend of the summer and already Duluth is full of people heading up to spend this Labor Day weekend on The Big Lake.

Couples and families from The Cities say they hope to spend the three–day weekend relaxing and enjoying one last summer hoorah.

Others are heading out to spend the weekend at their cabins.

“Probably fish a lot, catch some walleye, we usually have contests for that – biggest fish, most fish – probably tube if it’s nice enough and swim for sure,” said Kelsey Martin of Cloquet.

According to AAA, the average price of gas this Labor Day will be the lowest since 2004.
