Tuesday night a Hermantown boy and his family shared memories from their trip of a lifetime.
Thanks to the Make–A–Wish foundation, 14–year–old Cade Slattengren and his family traveled to The Great Barrier Reef in Australia, where they held a koala bear, learned to surf, and fulfilled Cade’s life–long dream of snorkeling.
“It was amazing, I would never have dreamed of going there ever,” Cade expressed. “So thankful that Make–A–Wish could make this happen.”
About a year ago, Cade was diagnosed with leukemia.
Tuesday’s dinner was donated by the manager at Outback Steakhouse.
