Dozens of community members enjoyed the beautiful afternoon outdoors Sunday, to celebrate Lower Chester’s centennial.
The recreational facility became a part of Chester Park in 1915.
The 100th birthday included music, a picnic, memories, and lots of hockey memorabilia.
“We’ve had many people throughout the years that have played hockey at Lower Chester and I think it’s part of the history and it’s important that we maintain that,” said Chair of the Centennial Committee, Debra Filipovich.
Some of the photos on display dated back to the 1930’s.
