Fire at the Whitecap Mountain Ski Resort in Iron County

UPSON, Wis. – A major fire broke out Friday evening at a ski resort in Iron County.

The fire was at the Whitecap Mountain Ski Resort in Upson.

According to the Iron County Sheriff’s Department, a major firefighter presence was in the area just after 6 p.m.

At that time, they were telling drivers to avoid County Road E and State Highway 122 as tanker shuttles were in progress there.
