Lift Bridge, Lighthouses and Ships are Popular Backdrops

A local photographer offers an up-close glimpse at some popular maritime features in the Twin Ports.

Photographer Jonathan Dyess showcased various ships, light houses and the Lift Bridge in his first ever art exhibit.

“Not many places where you can see these ships and these lighthouses and get the great skies that we get. That is one of the reasons that I personally love Duluth. I just found myself this summer shooting lot of ships, really starting in January, through the shipping season,” said Photographer Jonathan Dyess.

The entire show was a hands-on experience for Dyess who also hand-crafted the oak frames in which his pictures are displayed.

His artwork will be on display at Perk Place Coffee House for next few weeks
