Barnes man Sentenced to 20 Years in Prison for Ashland Homicide
Holton was Found Stabbed in his Home in February 2018

ASHLAND, Wis. – A Barnes, WI man found guilty of first degree reckless homicide has been sentenced to 20 years in prison.
43-year-old Matthew Phillips was convicted Friday in Ashland County Circuit Court in connection with the February death of 52-year-old Marcus Holton of Ashland.
Holton, 52, was found stabbed to death in his home in Ashland Feb. 25, 2018.
Phillips was also found guilty of two counts of bail jumping which carries a sentence of three years in prison.
