Arlington Avenue is getting its first full overhaul since its construction.

Construction was scheduled to begin Monday, but weather delays caused the project start to be pushed back to Tuesday.

The project will be completed over the next two months and will include two sectional closures.

Arlington Ave. will be shut down between Trinity and Central Entrance for 15 days beginning August 17.

It will then be shut down between Central Entrance and Arrowhead for 15 days beginning September 7.

The 2.8 mile project is expected to cost about $2.6 million, and $500,000 of that is being paid by Transportation Sales Tax Revenue.

The project is scheduled to be completed in October.
