Rain Doesn’t Stop Crowds From Celebrating at Spirit Valley Parade

Duluthians Enjoy Food, Music & Tradition at Annual Parade

The wet weather didn’t stop the crowds from heading out to the Spirit Valley Parade Thursday evening.

Whether it’s the music, the food, or just the neighborhood camaraderie, residents say this is their favorite event of the summer, and they weren’t going to miss out on tradition because of a little rain.

“Because I like to see the bands from the schools, and of course, she likes the candy, she’s been coming since she was 6 months old,” said Tiffany Mathisen.

Parade participants marched on Grand Avenue from 59th Avenue West to Central Avenue.
