Superior Honors Sexual Assault Survivors with Mayoral Proclamation

This year's campaign theme is titled "I Ask".

SUPERIOR, Wis. – Local leaders gathered in Superior to issue a proclamation to honor sexual assault survivors.

Multiple survivors shared their stories with everyone in attendance.

A host of other speakers also supported the efforts to bring awareness.

An official with CASDA says its important for people to understand the difficulties a sexual assault survivor faces.

“I think it is even more vital for smaller communities because there tends to be smaller social circles so victims have to interact with their abusers more often,” said CASDA Intern Connor Bradvold.

This year’s campaign theme is titled “I Ask” which builds on the idea consent is a healthy, normal, and necessary.
