Bent Paddle deemed Friday ‘All Pints Eve’, and to celebrate they hosted a Canal Park Portage which was basically one big bar crawl.

The group dressed up with life jackets and whistles and “canoed” to seven different bars in Canal Park.

At each stop was a different Bent Paddle beer made exclusively for Friday night.

As a member of the Minnesota Craft Brewers Guild, Bent Paddle wanted to follow through with one of the group’s main goals, which is to educate the public about the craft beer industry.

“We want people to know that you can be very consistent in great beer, but also change it to make it a little bit more exciting,” said Sam Bartels, a Sale Representative with Bent Paddle.

“You’re in a soft canoe and you’ve got paddles, really pretty paddles actually, and you lead the procession to and from each taproom,” explained Portager Colleen O’Hagan.

If you missed out Friday, you won’t be able to get those seven specialty beers.

As for Saturday, there will be seven completely new beers that Bent Paddle is offering, none of which will overlap with what was on tap Friday.
