WITC- Superior Continues to Renovate Campus

WITC- Superior staff say they are ahead of schedule for the renovation plans.

SUPERIOR, Wis. – Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College – Superior has not undergone any significant changes since the 1970’s.

School staff now hope the more than $1 million renovations will bring new life to the campus

In 2018, WITC began the first of several phases of updates including a new exterior paint job and several interior renovation projects.

For the next stages, the school will add a new parking lot facing Catlin Avenue for staff, students, and visitors.

“Having a sense of pride about where you go to school is important in the learning process and building connections with other students on campus. And the environment is definitely more inviting,” said WITC V.P. of Academic Affairs Stephanie Erdmann.

A graduating medical assistant student says she appreciates the school for making this investment to better the student experience.

“It’s great that they put the thought and effort to consider the students point of view on what they think should be renovated too,” said Elizabeth Tobolaski.

Exterior renovations are planned for all WITC campuses in Wisconsin. The Superior campus is the first of the four campuses to display the new look.

Next on the list is to update the third floor classrooms, which is slated for 2020.

Phase two upgrades are expected to be completed before the start of the fall semester.
