Event Celebrates Lake Superior

One of the biggest bodies of water is being celebrated.

The annual Lake Superior Days kicked off with local vendors filling Canal Park.

Festivities are taking place by the Lake Superior Marine Museum to celebrate and recognize Lake Superior as a great resource.

“If you look at places like California and think about the drought that they’re having you know the value of water,” Lake Superior Magazine editor Konnie LeMay said. “What a valuable resource water is spiritually and economically.”

The fun includes interactive exhibits and presentations.

The event will run until this Sunday.
