Woman Falls Hiking, Found Dead on the North Shore

An 85-year-old woman is dead after falling while hiking on the North Shore.

Sarah O’Brien of White Bear Lake fell near the Upper Falls on the Encampment River north of Two Harbors, on Thursday.

Lake County Sheriff’s Office said O’Brien was reported missing Friday morning when a caller said her car was parked at the river overnight.

Authorities found the woman’s deceased body Friday morning.
