Man Injured by Lightning in Cherry Remains in Critical Condition

Update on Man & Daughter Struck by Lightning

A Virginia man remained in critical condition Monday after being struck by lightning at the Cherry Township Town Hall Recreational Facility.

Fifty-one year old Jay Mott and his 4-year-old daughter Ava were watching a baseball game Sunday afternoon around 2 when they were struck.

Witnesses said Mott was carrying his daughter to his truck when they were hit.

His daughter suffered much less serious injuries and was listed in fair condition Monday.
