Canoeing Against Bullying

A local organization is using a canoe to call attention to bullying.

Buddies Not Bullies start their voyage to canoe against bullying Saturday.

People showed their support by signing their boat before they embarked on their mission down the Mississippi River.

Members of the nonprofit will paddle for about 3 months, making stops along the way to talk to people about bullying.

“Bullying is not right, stop,” Buddies Not Bullies CFO Scott Murtley said. “It’s not good it shouldn’t happen.”

This was also part of the organizations fundraising efforts which will go towards helping them eliminate bullying through workshops and education.
