Natural Harvest Food Cooperative management tells FOX 21 they now own the land and store building but have outgrown the space.
They will either expand their current facility or build a new location on Silver Lake to make room for more storage, retail space and customer demand.
“We’re also seeing that a lot of our shoppers want the local option, which is not always organic but it’s less mileage that the food travels,” Natural Harvest Food Cooperative general manager Anja Parenteau said. “We know where the food comes from and that’s really important to our shoppers.”
Meeting with consultants to see which option they can afford is the next step.
