The 39th Annual Land of the Loon Ethnic Arts and Crafts Festival took place in Virginia over the weekend.

The two day event features a Saturday parade, live music, kids area, arts and crafts, shopping, food, and a Sunday service.

Publicity Co-Chair Carole Swor said the event was originally the idea of two Virginia women who wanted to put the small Iron Range community on the map.

The Land of the Loon takes place every year on the 3rd full weekend in June

Next year’s festival will mark the 40th anniversary and will take place on June 18th and 19th.
