Several kids took advantage of the beautiful weather and spent the day outside on the main library plaza.
The kids took part in a variety of fun, active games including jump roping, hula hooping, hop scotch and more.
This is the first opportunity offered for kids by the Duluth Public Library.
Librarians say it’s a good way to get their heads out of the books for a day and into the hula hoops.
“As I like to say during story time, it’s a chance for them to get their wiggles out and get their bodies moving and just have some fun and learn what they can do at home,” said Children’s Librarian, Kristy Proctor.
Tuesday, the West Duluth Branch Library will host a fun summer camping craft and suggestions for great books to kick off summer reading all while having a campfire and smores.
On Wednesday, kids entering grades K-5 are invited to build an amazing LEGO creation based on the theme of the day or their own imagination.
