Boy Scouts Build Vet Memorial in Superior

The V.A. Clinic in Superior now has a new memorial.

What used to be old shrubs is now a reflection site for veterans.

Boy Scout Troop 13 out of Gary New Duluth built the area.

They put in 30 yards of fill, a garden and benches.

This was all made possible with fundraisers and donations.

“The end result, I was very happy with it,” Boy Scout Troop 13 member Connor Garvey said. “I didn’t expect that it would turn out this well. I’m glad that it did we put a lot of work into it.”

A dedication ceremony for the memorial will kick off July 2nd.
