Crews Ready To Focus On Park Repairs

With warmer air moving into the Northland, city officials are working to repair multiple parks.

One of those parks getting ready for work to be done is Chester Park.

Officials are hoping to repair the stream channels through natural features so they are more resilient.

There are other parks being repaired as well.  Officials hope to finish all repairs by August.

Chris Kleist, program coordinator, said “We are balancing a bunch of needs here we want to improve stream habitat, make it more resilient, protect infrastructure, protect the trails but also utilize funding.”

The trails are often utilized in the summer months and officials want people of all ages to be able to go out and enjoy them.
