The 6th Annual Duluth Superior Film Festival kicked off Wednesday night.
The festival was brought to the area because organizers thought it was missing from the city’s culture.
The focus on the festival is to show regional films that were shot in the Twin Cities or on the Iron Range.
“Filmmakers come in and they shoot anywhere from $200,000 to $5 million projects and that’s all money that’s essentially going into our economy,” explained Richard Hansen, the Director/Founder of the festival.
The film festival continues through the weekend and the screenings are free!
