Neighbors Voice Opinions about Rock Ridge Development Plans

Hope to Ensure New Housing Plan is Right Fit for Neighborhood

Thursday night, members of the Rock Ridge neighborhood voiced their opinions about the upcoming plans for nearby development.

Right now, the plan includes the addition of 78 apartments and 30 lofts.

Community members say making sure they are included in the process is what’s important.

“We want development that fits with the neighborhood, that maybe isn’t as dense as what is proposed at this stage, but definitely people are welcoming of development and understand that development is coming in this area,” said community member Shawn Roed.

Some are concerned the increase in traffic will be a safety issue for young kids in the neighborhood.
