Superior Student Arrested for Having Guns on School Property

A 17-year-old was arrested at Superior High School Thursday morning for having guns on school property. 

Authorities responded to reports of a suspicious vehicle at the high school around 9 a.m. Police found several firearms in the back seat of the car.  The guns were not cased at the time and were not loaded. 

Police determined the car was being used by a 17-year-old male student who attends Superior High School.  The teen was arrested and is currently being held at the Douglas County Jail on felony charges of Possession of a Firearm in a School Zone. 

Authorities say this is an isolated incident and they do not feel there is any concern or danger related to the incident.
