It took only 12 hours for some good-hearted Northlanders to pitch in and get a homeless man a ride home.
His name is Billy and he was found sleeping outside a liquor store Sunday night.
The residents who found him took to Facebook to see if their friends would pitch in and donate.
The response netted him a $200 bus ticket home.
Billy departed Monday morning from Duluth to Louisiana.
“I just wanna thank y’all for everything that y’all have done. It’s greatly appreciated,” said Billy.
Billy says he probably won’t come back to Minnesota because it’s a little too cold.
