Take Off With The Duluth Flying Club
Club Looks For New Members
The Duluth Flying Club caters to pilots, tourist and thrill seekers of all levels. The idea of a flying club went from tarmac to take off last summer when a group of five aviation enthusiasts decided it was time to share their love of flying with the Twin Ports .
“This is one of those opportunities in life where we get to share a passion with people as long as they have an interest. It would be hard to imagine learning how to fly in a spot that is more beautiful.” Duluth Flying Club member and Vice President of Business Development at Cirrus, Bill King said.
King tells us affordability is a concept the club was founded on.
If you don’t know how to fly, don’t sweat it.
The club’s training is done with one of the club’s Cirrus planes and a highly skilled flight instructor.
Safety is another passion the group shares. “People don’t understand how safe it really is,” King said.
The Duluth Flying Club has your instruction covered whether you are learning or a seasoned pro.
The flying club provides a variety of training and education like the ground school.
I found out first hand, on our shoot how rewarding it is to face a fear of flying.
What started off as a bundle of nerves on the runway, ended with King letting me be brave and take the controls to fly the plane.
Letting people experience the beauty of flying is what the flying club hopes to share with the community.
If you have a passion for flying the Duluth Flying Club would love to meet you!
