Darla the Miniature Horse Retires from Zoo

With the swish of the mane it was farewell to Darla the miniature horse.
She had been a part of the barn yard family at Lake Superior Zoo since 2010.
You may know Darla as the tenacious little horse who swam to safety during the flood of 2012.
“She has had a great time interacting with the other animals here, the kids. Now it’s just time for her to go out into green pastures and enjoy the rest of her life,” said owner Lizza Larson.
