Nepalese Man's Family Alive but in a Bad Situation

That Nepalese earthquake is hitting close to home for a local man.

All of his family is from Nepal and right now he tell us they’re living under a tarp, but are alive.

The quake comes less than three weeks after thousands of people were killed in that other disaster.

“Everyone in Nepal is out on the streets. They are living under open spaces some of them don’t even have anything to cover themselves, so if there is a rain or hail storm there won’t be any place to go,” said a local Nepalese Naresh Tako,

In the weeks to come UMD will host a fundraiser for those in Nepal.

A date for the event has not been finalized.
