Hermantown Boys Fall in Overtime of State Championship Game

Colin Hagstrom would score just over two minutes into overtime to give the Zephyrs the win.

ST. PAUL, Minn. – Aaron Pionk would score with 21.2 seconds to send the game into overtime, but Mahtomedi would score less than two minutes in as Hermantown falls to the Zephyrs 3-2 Saturday afternoon in the Class A state championship game.

Drew Sams also scored for the Hawks as they finish the season with a 20-4-4 record. Blake Biondi, Zach Kilen, Joey Pierce and Jacob Backstrom were named to the all-tournament team.
