Prep Girls Basketball: Cardinals, Hilltoppers, Hawks Learn State Seedings

Cromwell-Wright is the No. 2 seed in Class A while Duluth Marshall and Hermantown are both unseeded in their respective classes.

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – The girls basketball state tournament gets started next week and on Saturday, teams learned their seedings including three Northland teams.

In Class A, Cromwell-Wright earned the No. 2 seed in its third state appearance in program history and first since 2017. The Cardinals will play unseeded Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa on Thursday at the Maturi Pavilion. Tip-off is set for 3:00 p.m. The No. 1 seed in the bracket is Minneota, who handed the Cardinals one of their two losses on the season.

In Class AA, Duluth Marshall is unseeded in its first state appearance since 2000. The Hilltoppers will play New London-Spicer in the quarterfinals on Wednesday at the Maturi Pavilion. Tip-off is set for 8:00 p.m.

In Class AAA, Hermantown is unseeded in its first state appearance since 2006. The Hawks will play DeLaSalle on Wednesday at the Maturi Pavilion. Tip-off is set for 10:00 a.m.
