Hermantown Girls Set to Battle Top Seed DeLaSalle in State Tournament
Tip-off for the game is set for Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Maturi Pavilion at the University of Minnesota.
HERMANTOWN, Minn. – The Hermantown girls basketball team are getting set for their first trip to the state tournament since 2006.
And they will be greeted with a tough task as the Hawks will face top-seeded DeLaSalle. But don’t expect them to back down from a challenging opponent.
“We made it this far. We don’t want to relax and think this is good enough and we made it. We want to keep going and make it to the state championship,” said senior guard Ava Asgaard.
“We don’t need to change anything and let’s just go play our game and play hard and have no regrets when we walk off that floor. And I don’t think we will,” assistant coach Jim Prisk said.
