Late Night Fire Destroys Former Coachman Lounge in Hibbing

HIBBING, Minn. – A fire has gutted the former Coachman Lounge located on First Avenue in Hibbing.

According to the Northland Firewire, the fire broke out shortly after 9:00 p.m. Tuesday night.

Firefighters from Hibbing, Chisholm, and Keewatin battled the blaze.

Officials say when crews arrived on the scene flames could be seen coming from the back of the building.

The bar has been closed for many years.

The building appears to be a total loss.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

No injuries were reported.
