Multiple Fire Crews Battle a Grand Lake Township Garage Fire Sunday Night

GRAND LAKE TOWNSHIP, Minn. – Fire crews from Grand Lake Fire, Canosia Fire, Hermantown Fire, Solway Fire, and Air National Guard Fire battled a garage fire in Grand Lake Township around 11:00 p.m. Sunday night.

According to the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office, the fire broke out at 5930 North Pike Lake Road.

A resident noticed the garage fire and called 911.

Officials say the fire is believed to have been caused by a natural gas heater inside the garage.

The garage was deemed a total loss.

The fire remains under investigation.
