Friends, family members and loved ones were honored in Superior.

Workers’ Memorial Day is April 28, but folks across the bridge celebrated  with a breakfast Wednesday.

A breakfast of pancakes, sausages, eggs and more was all provided by Super One.

The breakfast was a chance to gather and celebrate these lives.

“This is our opportunity to commemorate not just from Superior-Douglas County, but Nation-wide all of the workers who have died on the job in the past year,” said Superior City Councilor Warren Bender.

A tree was planted after the breakfast, to represent the lives of all the workers in America who have lost their lives on the job in the last year.
