Duluth Stabbing Suspect Charged with Assault

Tyler Bizal, 21, Charged with 2nd Degree Assault

The 21-year-old suspect arrested in last week’s stabbing is behind bars for 2nd Degree Assault.

Tyler Bizal was formally charged Monday afternoon for allegedly stabbing 45, Deland Johnson.

Last Thursday night, Duluth police received a report of a stabbing at the Steve O’Neil apartments.

When police arrived they discovered Johnson on his back in the middle of the building’s lobby with several stab wounds to the chest.

A judge has set bail at $50,000 and Bizal will be back in court again in May.
