Proposed Nordic Center at the Base of Spirit Mtn

DULUTH, Minn. – There could soon be another place in town to enjoy Nordic Skiing complete with lights and snow making.
The proposed center with three kilometers of trails would be near the base of Spirit Mountain.
The project is part of the planned investments in outdoor recreation and tourism in the St. Louis River Corridor.
“Any one that was trying to be a cross-country skier this winter will know there is a need. If we were lucky we had just a few weeks where the city could actually groom the trails and people could ski,” said Gary Larson with Sports LCC.
A public input meeting will be held at Morgan Park Community Recreation Center Thursday, April 16th, at 6:00p.m.
