Shear Katz Closes After 30 Years In Duluth

After three decades of hair service in Duluth, Shear Katz Salon is no more.

Owner Taylor Peterson told FOX 21’s Dan Hanger Tuesday that the business ultimately could not continue without his father, Doug, who passed away in 2012 and started the business 30 years ago.

Shear Katz had been located at 26 E. Superior Street for a little more than a year.

But the salon is best known for its 20 years before that inside the Fitger’s Complex.
