High-Speed Police Chase Near Hibbing
A high-speed chase near Hibbing Saturday morning reached speeds of 122 miles-per-hour.
Just before 9a.m. two motorists called 911 to alert them of a dangerous driver on Highway 37 near the Hibbing airport.
A trooper attempted to stop the vehicle, at which point the driver sped away.
The driver later crossed the center line and hit a pick-up on the opposite shoulder of the road.
No other motorists were injured and the fleeing driver was airlifted to Duluth for his injuries.
Troopers are investigating possible impairment of the dangerous driver.
