Closing, Remodel and New Store at Mall

Wet Seal has already closed and the Deb clothing store will close soon.

The Duluth store will be the only one in Northeastern Minnesota with a Deb retailer.

Victoria’s Secret sister store, “Pink”, moved down the hall and Justice’s space is being remodeled. 

But, the big news is the new Rue 21 store that will open in May. 

Feelings about the new arrival are split right down the middle. 

“Some are like “Oh, great Rue 21 is coming!” And, some are like “Oh, you couldn’t get an H&M or Forever 21 and what are you going to do about prom dresses?” It’s kind of a mixed reaction.  But, Rue 21 is a welcomed addition to the Miller Hill Mall,” said the Director of Mall Marketing, Machelle Kendrick.

Kendrick says they are trying to accommodate to what everyone would like to see.

“One thing that’s really neat about this mall is people consider it their mall and so in their mall they would like to see certain stores.  We know that and we pay attention to that.”

Duluth is also one of the few malls in the nation to keep it’s Radio Shack.

American Eagle Outfitters and Tradehome Shoes have also been remodeled.
