Colleagues Throw Retirement Parade For Longtime Social Worker
DULUTH, Minn.-A longtime social worker celebrated her retirement on Friday with the help of a parade in downtown Duluth.
Holly Church has been a social worker for almost 29 years. Church was originally supposed to retire a month ago, but stayed on to make sure things were running smoothly during the Covid-19 pandemic.
She says, seeing everyone wish her well was a treat.
“This was just a delight. I really feel honored. My heart is full, I have been feeling so appreciative all week,” former St. Louis County Children & Family Services Director, Holly Church says.
Although Church won’t be vacationing any time soon, she says she’ll do some canoeing and spend a lot of time in the garden.
