Temporary Foster Pet Parents Needed

CHUM Seeks Volunteer Homes

A local non–profit is looking for temporary foster parents for animals.

Some of CHUM’s clients who are experiencing homelessness or are in transition need a place for their dogs and cats to stay while they get back on their feet.

CHUM tells FOX 21 a temporary home can prevent dogs from being turned over to the pound and help people who can’t bring their pets to a shelter.

“Just think about if you have a pet and you’re a pet lover would you want to give up your animals?” said Deb Holman with the CHUM Outreach Team. “Like I always say if I became homeless I’d live in my car too with my dogs cause you know they’re part of the family usually.”

Contact CHUM at (218) 720-6521 if you’re interested in helping out.
