Maesyn Thiesen Joins UMD Women’s Basketball Coaching Staff, Cecile Kieger Named Lead Assistant

DULUTH, Minn.- Former UMD women’s basketball player Maesyn Thiesen will be joining the coaching staff this upcoming season.

Thiesen is coming off a season in which she averaged 7.6 points per game and 4.6 rebounds per game, helping lead the Dogs to the national title game.

Thiesen wasn’t the only coaching move as Cecile Kieger has been named lead assistant coach.

Kieger joined UMD last season and will replace Ryan Carpenter, who became head coach at Lancaster Bible College.
