Dock 7 to Support Continued Growth

The Board of Commissioners for the Duluth Seaway Port Authority has approved a purchase agreement with XIK Corporation, of a 35 acre dock in the Duluth Industrial Waterfront zoning district.

The dock will support continued growth in the International Port of Duluth-Superior. 

Improving the facilities will help in more economic development, according to the Port Authority.

“That’s kind of the role that we facilitate within this community.  To take those properties that need a little bit of work and help and get them into a marketable state so that we can land an employer or the next employer,” said the Port’s executive director, Vanta Coda.

The closing date on the agreement is set for the end of March.
