STURGEON LAKE, Minn. – The YMCA’s Camp Miller has been going on for more than 120 years and even a pandemic couldn’t stop it from happening this year.
The camp has limited its activities to only those that promote social distancing and things that can be easily cleaned, which means no overnight camps.
This summer, there are also isn’t horseback riding and there is no high ropes course or climbing tower because of the difficulty in sanitizing ropes.
“We’ve been missing our loved ones and our friend and family so this has provided such a great way for people to recreate outdoors,” said Emily Marshall, the executive director of the camp.
